Rules of the Lady Grey Royal MacNab

 

  • Hunting time is from 06:00 – 18:00.
  • Hunters must be 18 years of age.
  • Each hunter must bring his own hunting rifle, shotgun and fishing rod & flies.
  • Weapons may only be used by the licensed owner.
  • Each hunter will be accompanied by a trained guide.
  • It is the guide’s responsibility to fetch the hunter and bring him/her back to the Country Club on time.
  • The hunt ends promptly at 18:00 at the Lady Grey Country Club.
  • Everyone must report to the Club whether they have completed a MacNab or not.
  • Everybody who completes a MacNab is regarded a winner.
  • There will be no double MacNabs.
  • Only mountain reedbuck will be accepted, no other buck.
  • Everything must be shot or caught on foot.
  • The hunters may receive no help, guides may not shoot, or fish for a participant.
  • Guides are only there in an advisory capacity.
  • Greywing (Francolin) must be shot in the air (no dogs).
  • No semi-automatic rifles may be used.
  • Trout must be caught in the Karnmelkspruit (not in a dam).
  • Trout must be caught with an artificial fly.
  • Should a hunter wound or shoot a grey rhebuck (vaalribbok), he will have to pay a fine of R3 000 to the farmer.

To keep our high standard, we cannot accommodate more than 25 hunters.  Please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. The first 25 who pay their deposit will be the hunters for 2020.
